The Municipal Planning Commission advises Council with respect to achieving orderly, economical and beneficial development, use of land and patterns of human settlement, and to maintain and improve the quality of the physical environment within which the patterns of settlement are situated in the village. The MPC meets on the first Thursday of every month, in Council Chambers at the Village Office.
Length of appointment, as per Bylaw 569-16 is a one-year term, except as required by statute or if the appointment is to fill a vacancy.
To be eligible for appointment as a public at large member of the Municipal Planning Commission, applicants must be:
• a resident of the Village of Warner;
• of the full age of 16 to 18 years of age with consent in writing from a parent or
guardian; or
• over the age of 18 years; and
• a Canadian citizen or legally entitled to work in Canada as defined by Human
Resources Canada or a temporary visa holder or a refugee waiting for their claim
refugee status to be determined.
